Nick Naylor is a spin doctor. His forte? The tobacco industry. Naylor’s job is to keep people smoking, and hopefully gain a few new customers along the way.

In this entertaining, and extremely addictive novel, Christopher Buckley shows us the live of Nick Naylor as he gains power working for the leading tobacco company in the US. His job is to convince the public that contrary to what they are being shown again and again, smoking isn’t bad for you. As the novel progresses, Naylor’s job, and his live are put on the line, often times in darkly comedic situations.

This book is a quick read, fast paced and a lot of fun. It doesn’t matter what your stance is on the smoking issue, even if you are totally against the tobacco industry and what it stands for, you can’t help but get sucked in to the story and won’t want to put it down until the end. It is that addictive.

Now, where did I put my lighter?
